So after this horrendous winter, I've vowed to get a better car. While I love my car I have now, its jut not practical for the snow. If you remember from a few months ago, I got stuck then my car was acting funny, I thought it was broken completely but once the snow melted it seemed to be ok...anyways...
It was a semi-decent day today and Mr. Football happened to get off work early so car-shopping we went. They keep advertising "great deals" and "lowest financing" so we figured why not. It can't hurt to look right?
Well what do I know.
I've decided that I want to go bigger obviously, but how much bigger? And then it comes down to money. One company will give us such and such deal, but the price is higher. The other company only offers a little bit of a discount but their price is lower....decisions decisions.
So I've narrowed it down...
Do I want this one?
2009 Toyota Highlander
Or that one?
2009 Chevy Traverse
And I thought buying jeans was difficult.

I'd go with the Toyota! Just cause before my Jetta I had it for 2 years and it not ONCE had to go in the shop for any work. Soooo dependable.
(Note: reason I don't have it anymore was cause of a major car accident, and yet the Toyota saved my life!!! Soooo that's another reason to Pick it!)
My Mom has had a Highlander for 3 or 4 years now and she loves it. Never has any problems with it.
Toyota cars are pretty dependable and last FOREVER!
OMG I loooovvve my Highlander!! My whole family has Toyotas or VWs and they really are the best cars. I've had mine three years and the only things I have had done was a tire replacement after I wore the factory ones down at 50,000 miles! They are amazing cars!
hahaha... they look so much alike to me, which makes it impossible for me to advise. :-) fun to get new cars though!!!
I don't think you could lose either way! Let us know!
and take a spin around the block for me, will you? Last may we bought a new vehicle, but it had to be a hatchback that got at least 30 mpg and...blah blah blah, my husband is SO anal about gas mileage! He would never let me get an SUV to drive everyday, even though I'd love one!
I would definitely go with the Toyota. they are so dependable and comfortable! Greg has the four-runner and he always says the highlander is the same as his car just for girls (cuz its smaller i guess?) and I love his car so thats my recommendation.
getting a new car is stressful but so fun!
I vote you skip the new car and move somewhere tropical. Hawaii is fabulous.
P.S: If you have a hard time making decisions you should join in on Two Cents (first tuesday of every month) You get a chance to link up and ask for two cents or give some. Free advice! Does it get any better?
If there's nothing that distinguishes for you one over the other....Toyota's have a way better resale value.
ooohhh tough decisions! I'm saying Toyota also! My mom just bought a Vista? and LOVES it. My husband on the other hand, has a chevy trailblazer that stinks right now and we're trying to sell it!
I would have to pick the Toyota too. I had a toyota a while back and I RAN IT TO THE GROUD! Seriously, this car was like the energizer bunny! Great car!
I'd vote for the toyota. My parents have one (like 7 years old) and its really nice and has held up really well.
Ohh hard decision.. hubby has a toyota truck and it has lasted forever! i have a 2009 nissan murano and LOVE it but I do liek the traverse too!yeah for new cars
I vote Chevy!!
The Traverse! My mom just got one & we LOVE it! =]
Ooooh, buying cars is exciting. I too vote Toyota. We have a Tacoma, and it's never been an ounce of trouble. I know people who love their Highlanders too!
Fun fun!
I vote the Chevy, It looks so much better and it's always great to help our us companies out right now! :)
I know you have NO IDEA who I am...but GET THE HIGHLANDER!! And If you can, get the hybrid :) And go to lots of different toyota dealerships b/c they are seriously desperate. And if you SAY one dealership is offering more, they will scramble to lower it for you! My mom taught me this buying a car last year...AND it worked!
