back to normal...whatever that means

So I'm finally feeling like myself again...other than the occasional cough and ear popping, but I can live with that. This week was pretty unproductive, I'm blaming it on the holiday again.

The hubby and I decided to have a New Year's Eve party at our house this year. We did it last year and it went pretty well. We invited a few of our friends over for dinner and played some games. It's official, we're "old people". The thought of having to get dressed up in cute outfits (but always remembering to be practical because of the snow) and go out to different bars to pay a ridiculous amount of money because its "New Year's Eve" was just too much to deal with. Last year we used the excuse that we were "saving for the wedding"...but this year we're ok with admitting that we're just old.

Most of our friends spent the night, seeing as they were in no condition to drive home and it ended up being a fun slumber party...just like junior high, except there were boys there too. In the morning Mr. loves-football-more-than-life made us all breakfast (yum) and we lounged around all day watching football of course.

Because of the party and being sick I've pretty much done nothing around the house. Don't get me wrong, we "straightened" up for the party but thankfully no one looked in the closets and found our dirty laundry waiting to be done. So it looks like an exciting weekend ahead of me...

fun...here's to being back to "normal"...

what is normal! : ) especially in the military. Just be thankful you have closets to hide your dirty laundry in. We have not one. not one stinking closet in this house. im jealous about closets, whos the old fart now!

I am guilty of hiding the dirty laundry in the closet too, no worries!

Meh, who needs a clean house! I finally cleaned my this past week when I realized it had been since THANKSGIVING!!! Yikes. Glad I got the bathrooms done before the stomach flu attacked--that wouldn't have been fun.

Lay around, get some rest. Cleaning can wait :)

Sounds alot like our nye. honestly, I've always preferred nights in to going out and spending lots of money. you can have just as much fun at home.. the important part is who you are with! :-)
